In 1987, our foundational devotion to craft was recognized at the highest level when our family patriarch, Natubhai J. Mistry (Natwarlal J. Mistry), was honored with the prestigious State Award for his mastery in creating the traditional Dipmala (tower of light). His dedication to sacred architecture and meticulous artistry laid the groundwork for the values we carry forward today.
Our family's master craftsmanship reached national acclaim when Shri Trikamlal Jivanbhai Mistry was honored with the prestigious National Award in 1972 by the Government of India. Over the decades, Natubhai Mistry further showcased extraordinary artistry by hand-carving all 24 Jain spiritual leaders and sacred symbols in wood, Makonde art, and Kisii stone.
From hand-carved Dipmalas and 24 Jain Tirthankara icons to bespoke home mandirs and heirloom furniture, every creation by Wood Verse carries forward an unshakeable legacy of precision, reverence, and timeless artistry passed down through generations.
